Transport Canada Recognised ICC <24M (in lieu of the PCOC)

  • IYT’s MCA Recognised ICC <24M can be converted to a Transport Canada Recognised ICC <24M (accepted in place of the Pleasure Craft Operator Card – PCOC).
  • To qualify, students must complete the IYT Canadian Boating Requirements eLearning course.
  • The online course and full instructions are available here on our website.
  • After completing the course, IYT will issue a new ICC certificate with the text:

“Recognised by Transport Canada in lieu of the PCOC Card”

AMSA Coxswain Grade 1 Crossover

  • Holders of the AMSA Coxswain Grade 1 certificate may apply for the:
    • MCA Recognised Small Powerboat & RIB Master Certificate of Competency

  • If the holder meets UNECE requirements for citizenship or residency, they may also be eligible for the:
    • MCA Recognised IYT ICC <10M Power Coastal
    • Eligibility includes meeting ICC standards for identity and residence
