Privacy Policy & Terms Of Use

General Information:
IYT offers elearning courses through its website iytnet.com and hands on training through a global network of licenced schools. The domains iytnet.com and iytworld.com are associated websites and are wholly owned and operated by International Yacht Training Worldwide Inc.

Pricing and Delivery:
All prices are in the stated currency. Please allow 6 weeks for the delivery of physical products, which will be sent by airmail, unless the courier option is selected. Physical products are made in Canada and will be sent from our Head Office; Suite 482, 9-3151 Lakeshore Road, Kelowna, BC, V1W 4B3, Canada.

  • Certificates will be processed and shipped only after payment has been received
  • We attempt to process all orders within 4 weeks but this does not include delivery time
  • Airmail may take up to 4 weeks to reach final destination, if at all.  Airmail is not traceable so there is no tracking number.  WE STRONGLY DISCOURAGE AIRMAIL AND ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST AIRMAIL SHIPMENTS.
  • If airmail is the chosen method of shipment and the package is lost, you will be billed for the cost of replacement plus shipping.
  • Courier takes 3 to 5 business days depending on location and you will receive the tracking number when your order ships.

Refunds:
Orders for online courses and bespoke cards are not refundable. Physical product may be returned unopened for a full refund to the address given below. The customer is responsible for return shipping and any associated costs. Privacy Policy:
IYT Worldwide is committed to respecting the privacy of individuals and recognizes the need of people with whom we do business and employees for the appropriate management and protection of any Personal Information that you agree to provide to us.

Our Privacy Management Plan includes guidelines on the collection, storage, use and retention of your Personal Information as follows:

Collection:
The organization collects personal information about individuals (clients, suppliers, employees, etc) in order to better manage it’s business. The organization will make all reasonable efforts to fully inform such individuals about the planned use/disclosure. The organization will store personal information using hard copy and/or electronic means in such a way as to prevent unauthorized collection, access, use, disclosure or disposal of the personal information.

Retention:
The organization will establish a retention period for all personal information collected.

Disclosure:
The organization will not disclose personal information unnecessarily to employees or any third party, unless the effected individual consents or it is legally required to do so.

Access:
The organization promotes individual’s right of access to personal information about themselves. The employer will provide access to information upon request. Access will be provided according to established procedures.

Note: access to a record may be subject to the payment of any fee required according to organization policy.

In addition to the care that IYT Worldwide takes directly, we are also working with all of our partner organizations that may at some point handle personal information gathered by us in the course of their relationship with and service to us. Each third party partner has agreed to meet our standards of privacy, confidentiality and security.

All Employees and third party staff who in any way handle or manage Personal Information have acknowledged and agreed to adhere to our Privacy Code and the procedures that support that code.
