The MCA has stated that: Candidates are required to present two forms of documentary evidence of yacht service. Such evidence should be in the form of any of the following:

a. Discharge Book; or
b. Certificates of Discharge; or
c. Professional Yachtsmen's Service Record Book; or
d. International Yacht Training (IYT) Personal Seatime Log Book; or
e. Royal Yachting Association (RYA) logbook; or
f. Similar MCA approved service record book.
